Welcome and Community Information

Welcome to Beaumaris Rotary.  My name is Chris D’Arcy and I am proud to be the President of this great Club for this Rotary year. Within these pages you will find out more about our Club, who we are, what we do and why you might want to join us.

Beaumaris Rotary is one of 32,000 clubs that make up Rotary International, a global network based within local communities providing aid and assistance throughout the world.  Rotarians contribute time and expertise to make a difference – helping those who need it and encouraging youth to reach their potential.  If you have ever asked yourself ‘What can I do?’ ‘Join Rotary’ may be the answer.

Where do you find us? We look forward to seeing you at the Black Rock Farmers’ Market in Royal Avenue, the Bayside Charity Golf Day, or one of many events we support in the Beaumaris Concourse.  We often join forces with other Rotary Clubs and community organisations to support events to bring our community together.

Normally, we meet in person on Thursday evenings at the Victoria Golf Club at 7pm.  We have a Zoom option for members who are unable to join us on a particular evening.  We have a great program of speakers chosen to keep members informed about what is going on in the community, the country, and the world, complemented by regular updates on our own projects.  We also have a program of regular social events that gives members the chance to enjoy each other’s company and build friendships in a more relaxed setting.

Membership of Rotary also helps develop leadership, public speaking, social, business, personal and vocational skills.  If you would like to know more and perhaps join us contact one of our membership team members Soula Deville:  souladeville@gmail.com or Gail Anderson: g.anderson@racingvictoria.net.au  You will be most welcome to come along to one of our meetings to meet us and see what we do.  If there is a community project that you think Beaumaris Rotary should consider, we would like to hear about that too.

A few words of thanks.  We couldn’t do what we do without the support of others.  Special thanks go to Bayside City Council, Royal Melbourne Golf Club, Bendigo Bank, Sandringham Community Bank Branch and all the amazing local people who provide their generous support.
